Key Responsibilities

•Support definitions of F&G detection philosophy and mitigation, coverage of fire and gas detection (mapping), zones and detection areas.
•Develop F&G philosophy, narrative, and system architecture for F&G.
•Select and specify detectors and detector types by risk.
•Determine optimal detector locations (coverage analysis/mapping).
•Prepare instrument and detector datasheets, protection logic and E/D matrix, I/O lists, loop diagrams and cable routing plans; review interface definitions (hardwired vs industrial protocols).

Key Requirements

•6-8 years of general experience with instrumentation and control, and specific experience in engineering projects within the Oil & Gas sector.
