Key Responsibilities

  • •Support a safe and healthy work environment and follow housekeeping and environmental requirements.
  • •Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment, record outcomes, and report safety deviations to the Foreman and Operations Controller.
  • •Operate allocated equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring work areas are safe for operation and reporting unsafe conditions to the Supervisor.
  • •Identify vehicle/equipment maintenance problems during operation and report issues promptly and accurately to the Supervisor.
  • •Communicate problems and risks during the shift with other operators to maximize shift efficiency; assist with cleaning and additional mobile equipment operations if required.

Key Requirements

  • •Grade 12 Certificate / N3 Technical.
  • •1–2 years of relevant operating equipment experience in mining.
  • •Relevant HME licences.
  • •SA Drivers Licence: Code B (Light Vehicle).
  • •Knowledge of safety standards, mine traffic regulations, and pre-shift inspection processes.
