Key Responsibilities

  • •Spray paints vehicles and specialized equipment using enamel, lacquer, and vinyl materials for protection and appearance.
  • •Apply specialty coatings and finishes (e.g., crinkle, nonskid, rubber, fluorescent touch-up) and create camouflage patterns on exterior surfaces.
  • •Mix, thin, and adjust paints to ensure proper finish and thickness; fill spray tanks and maintain correct air pressure during operations.
  • •Interpret technical manuals and work requirements to determine paint types, colors, and markings; apply stencils, silk screens, and decals as needed.
  • •Clean and maintain spray equipment (nozzles/restrictors), inspect surface prep before painting, and follow safety requirements. Provide guidance to lower-grade employees.
