Job Summary

Operate and program automated welding systems for can fabrication, including TIG and MIG processes, to produce high-quality powder containers. Read blueprints, adjust parameters, and troubleshoot parts with engineering. Train peers, support continuous improvement and safety initiatives, and ensure compliance with company policies in a Friday-Sunday (3x12) shift onsite at Clayville facility.

Key Responsibilities

•Set up and operate multiple automated mechanized welding operations (TIG arc welder, Dig pulse MIG welder, Magnetic oscillator, Seam Tracker) to produce uniform machine welds for can fabrication.
•Write programs and input parameters, and adjust parts when required to resolve complex conditions.
•Perform hand and machine fusion welding to construct powder containers.
•Interface with Engineering or design personnel to facilitate fabrication and work from blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
•Train others to perform routine welding tasks and support continuous improvement and EH&S initiatives.

Key Requirements

•HS diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
•Knowledge of welding qualities of metals.
•Understanding of shop mathematics involving decimals and fractions.
•Instructor level knowledge of fusion welding processes and terminology.
•Ability to wear a respirator and lift up to 25 pounds; strong attendance and interpersonal communication skills.
