Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate all on-shift operations and safely operate plant equipment across cold startup and emergency operations during plant upsets.
  • •Make decisions on non-routine/escalated technical issues and resolve complex technical issues under limited supervision.
  • •Prioritize and execute responsibilities for assigned trade or functional area; check own work for highest quality standards.
  • •Provide on-the-job skills training to others in complex technical areas and may guide task completion within management schedules.
  • •Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and plant procedures, including plant security and bulk chemical handling/transfer.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of directly related experience with health and safety regulations and experience around hazardous energy, chemicals, and waste (safe handling, storage, and transport).
  • •Working experience using distributive control system (DCS) computers to operate plant equipment and monitor equipment for measurement, recording, and parameter adjustments.
  • •Knowledge to perform chemical analysis and chemical control for steam, cooling, and condensate systems, and maintain chemistry logs.
  • •Previous experience using test equipment and calibration appliances, including experience with machinery repair and control systems.
  • •Strong mechanical aptitude with basic understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity, and mathematics.
