Key Responsibilities

•Coordinate all on-shift operations and safely operate plant equipment across cold startup and emergency operations during plant upsets.
•Make decisions on non-routine/escalated technical issues and resolve complex technical issues under limited supervision.
•Prioritize and execute responsibilities for assigned trade or functional area; check own work for highest quality standards.
•Provide on-the-job skills training to others in complex technical areas and may guide task completion within management schedules.
•Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and plant procedures, including plant security and bulk chemical handling/transfer.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of directly related experience with health and safety regulations and experience around hazardous energy, chemicals, and waste (safe handling, storage, and transport).
•Working experience using distributive control system (DCS) computers to operate plant equipment and monitor equipment for measurement, recording, and parameter adjustments.
•Knowledge to perform chemical analysis and chemical control for steam, cooling, and condensate systems, and maintain chemistry logs.
•Previous experience using test equipment and calibration appliances, including experience with machinery repair and control systems.
•Strong mechanical aptitude with basic understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity, and mathematics.
