Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment (e.g., electrical, brakes, cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering, HVAC, and transmissions).
  • •Inspect, test, and road test defective equipment; use test instruments (e.g., handheld computers and pressure gauges) to identify malfunctions.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work and complete DOT forms and repair orders, uploading photos and findings using a company-issued iOS device and the TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent mix of education/certification and experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older, with a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
