Key Responsibilities

  • •Researches and provides content knowledge, resources, and guidance on effective and innovative math practices to support teachers.
  • •Imparts knowledge through coaching sessions, one-to-one discussions, study groups, and preparation of resource materials for districts.
  • •Coordinates and facilitates pilots of instructional materials and software implementations.
  • •Monitors student progress using K12 interactive lessons and daily assessments; collects and reviews work samples.
  • •Coordinates and facilitates reading intervention initiatives for students in grades K–5, alerts administrators to concerns, and maintains confidentiality.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Education (or related field) AND five (5) years teaching experience.
  • •Two (2) years of successful coaching/mentoring experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • •Tennessee High School English Teaching Certification.
  • •Pedagogical knowledge of math content and ability to apply critical thinking.
  • •Knowledge of state content standards and ability to align them with the K12 curriculum.
