Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide expert legal advice and guidance to identify, report, and mitigate HSBC’s legal, regulatory, and reputational risks in Thailand.
  • •Counsel primarily Corporate and Institutional Banking, including corporate finance, trade and payment products, global markets transactions, and securities services.
  • •Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and related transaction documents for Corporate and Institutional Banking matters.
  • •Advise and brief business stakeholders on new legal, regulatory, and market developments affecting business activities.
  • •Manage legal risk in line with group policy requirements and exercise judgment to support fair outcomes for customers and orderly market operations.

Key Requirements

  • •Thai-law qualified lawyer with at least a bachelor’s and/or master of laws degree and 7+ years of experience in corporate banking in financial sectors or an international law firm.
  • •Extensive knowledge of corporate and institutional banking, including financing and trade finance, transaction banking derivatives, and securities services.
  • •Experience in cash management and services and procurement contracts is an advantage.
  • •Excellent negotiation and drafting skills with strong commercial and legal judgment, initiative, and problem-solving.
  • •Strong communication skills in English and Thai (written and verbal) and the ability to handle diverse, time-sensitive issues under pressure.
