Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure safety of the plant and personnel while operating plant equipment for optimal performance
  • •Monitor issues and status throughout the shift and keep the Shift Engineer informed with accurate updates
  • •Complete plant tours, inspections, and rounds using established check sheets
  • •Conduct water tests each shift and enter results into the online database
  • •Perform required lockouts and identify/suggest improvements on a shift-to-shift basis

Key Requirements

  • •4th or 3rd Class Power Engineer certification
  • •Mechanical aptitude with solid fuel firing experience (asset)

  • •Previous experience in heavy equipment operations (asset)
