Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a ready-mix concrete mixer truck to deliver and unload concrete to job sites safely and efficiently, following dispatch instructions and applicable laws.
  • •Maintain communication with the dispatcher or plant manager, review delivery tickets for special instructions, and complete required documentation/signatures.
  • •Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance/repair issues, and keep the truck and mixer/drum clean (including rinsing before and after deliveries).
  • •Handle customer transactions by collecting money and recording transactions on customer receipts; read/write receipt and ticket details as needed.
  • •Follow OSHA/USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices, use supplied PPE, and support other duties such as truck/plant maintenance, sweeping, shoveling, and yard work.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum class B CDL; must possess and maintain a valid DOT medical card and a state-issued commercial driver license.
  • •High school diploma preferred or equivalent, or at least 1 year of related experience or training (or equivalent combination).
  • •Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • •Ability to read receipts and complete delivery/ticket details, including communicating basic product/concrete instructions to customers.
  • •Willingness to work nights and weekends as required; safe work performance with or without supervision.
