Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment. Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems using tools and test instruments, complete road tests, and document findings on repair orders. Serve as a lead/consultant for customers and technicians, manage parts inventory on the service truck, and ensure all work complies with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections, including follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
•Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical and electrical systems using test instruments, road testing, and sound judgment.
•Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company service truck, including reconciliation.
•Maintain and operate the service vehicle, perform safety checks, and conduct pre-/post-trip inspections.
•Document work and complete DOT forms in a timely manner on repair orders using the iOS device and TRAIT application.

Travel: Extensive travel

Salary: USD 32.07 - 48.13 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/GED and 3+ years of related experience (or an equivalent combination such as additional education/certification or 5+ years experience).
•At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
•Possess and supply the required hand tools; OEM training/certifications are preferred.
•Successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and a DOT physical prior to employment.
•Valid DOT medical card requirements and a valid state-of-residence driver’s license; must be at least 21 years old.
