Job Summary

Design and optimize high-volume, high-performance satellite manufacturing assembly lines for commercial and government customers. Lead final assembly line (FAL) process and manufacturing ground support equipment (MGSE) definition, ensure designs are ready for serial production, and manage validation for integrated assembly stations and automation sequences. Support continuous improvement through troubleshooting and corrective actions, and provide manufacturing test aids and training for assembly line operators.

•Lead the development and design of Final Assembly Line (FAL) processes and related Manufacturing Ground Support Equipment (MGSE).
•Optimize mechanical designs for serial production and define manufacturing processes for high-volume satellite assembly.
•Specify and manage validation procedures for integrated assembly stations, including mechanical integration, smart tool integration, and automation sequences.
•Develop assembly routing for standard and non-standard flows (repairs, late deliveries) and implement corrective actions for non-conformities.
•Provide manufacturing test aids and train assembly line operators on new processes and equipment usage.

•Advanced proficiency and extensive background in Mechanical Engineering.

•Proficiency with CAD tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, and SolidWorks Composer.
•Experience with assembly/manufacturing processes and MGSE design and validation, plus configuration management tools such as SAP.
