Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver the full range of personal financial counseling services to service members and their families at military installations.
  • •Provide education, counseling, one-on-one sessions, referrals, and briefings/presentations as needed.
  • •Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
  • •Develop and provide informational financial materials, and coordinate/publish Personal Financial Management classes and workshops across the military lifecycle.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required; may consider an associate degree plus 4 years' experience or a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; if required by the contract, be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • •Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
  • •Must have one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
