Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop design concepts and size vehicle structures based on flight loads.
  • •Create detailed structural designs and CAD models in NX for components, assemblies, and vehicle integration.
  • •Build finite element models and analyze structures to prove designs meet vehicle needs.
  • •Validate designs by building development articles and performing structural testing on subassemblies and full airframe sections.
  • •Partner with build engineers and technicians to improve designs and support factory assembly and structural integration.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • •7+ years of experience with mechanical design and analysis.
  • •Experience designing, analyzing, building, and testing high-performance mechanical systems.
  • •Experience with FEA or multiphysics simulation tools (e.g., NASTRAN, ABAQUS, ANSYS).
  • •Experience with qualification testing and selecting materials/manufacturing methods for mechanical components.
