Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead safe field programs by developing health and safety plans and job safety analyses for surface water monitoring and equipment installations.
  • •Collect in-situ flow measurements and conduct topographic benchmark surveys to support water-resource decisions.
  • •Coordinate field materials, equipment, travel, client personnel, and technical disciplines to keep remote programs running safely and efficiently.
  • •Produce detailed field notes and reliable monitoring records that support defensible environmental data.
  • •Contribute to field-data compilation and analysis, including rating-curve development, and produce clear field and installation reports.

Salary: CAD 60,900 - 83,800 annually

Key Requirements

  • •College diploma, bachelor’s degree, or technical diploma in environmental sciences, environmental technology, or a related field.
  • •Practical experience supporting stream-monitoring or equipment-installation programs, including environmental data collection and field-survey methods.
  • •Unrestricted full Class G driver’s licence (or provincial equivalent), clean driving abstract, access to a vehicle, and comfort operating pickup trucks and 4x4 vehicles.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office to compile field data, develop rating curves, and prepare technical reports.
  • •Availability for remote travel by boat, small aircraft, helicopter, snowmobile, and ATV (Pleasure Craft Operator Card, snowmobile safety certification, and First Aid certification are assets).
