Job Summary

Support certification of large aircraft modifications by identifying requirements and leading stress/structures certification activities. Compile and review structural substantiation documents for product certification and integration of new aircraft interior installations and primary structure changes. Work with a global engineering team across time zones, act as a Boeing representative in customer meetings, and provide on-site embodiment support as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Report to the Structures Engineering Manager and collaborate with the global engineering team to identify requirements and solutions for active and upcoming projects.
•Lead certification activities to ensure compliance with design requirements and serve as a technical focal for certification and stress issues for large aircraft modification programmes.
•Compile and critically review structural substantiation documents related to product certification and aircraft integration of new seating, monument, and furniture installations.
•Support cabin interior changes such as LOPAs, Passenger Service Unit layouts, and LRU installations.
•Act as a Boeing representative during customer meetings (ITCM, PDR, CDR, FAI) and provide on-site support during the embodiment phase of projects.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical, or Material Sciences.
•Current or recent aerospace industry experience, specifically working with an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation (or equivalent).
•Knowledge of aircraft interior and/or primary structure modification practices and interfaces.
•Proficiency in hand calculations using classic stress analysis techniques.
•Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis and technical report writing.
