Job Summary

Underwrite and analyze commercial loans to support centralized commercial lending teams. Perform financial statement and tax return spreading, prepare credit analysis for real estate and C&I borrowers, and create or update loan requests for modifications, renewals, and annual reviews. Provide underwriting support, covenant monitoring, and industry research, and prepare complex credit approval documentation in the bank’s approval system while partnering with Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare credit analysis for commercial borrowers, guarantors, and prospects, including review of real estate and C&I loans and relevant market/financial information.
•Complete financial statement spreading and financial analysis documents, and update or create loan requests for modifications, renewals, and annual reviews.
•Support underwriting by conducting industry research, applying loan policy, and providing commentary on financial performance and related documents.
•Analyze and prepare complex credit approval documentation in the bank’s approval system, including loan terms, collateral, covenants, credit exposure, and loan grade inputs.
•Monitor assigned commercial loan portfolios with Portfolio Managers by tracking covenants, recording financial statements, monitoring company performance, and participating in credit conversations with PMs/RMs/management and clients/prospects.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree (B.A.), preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent work experience.
•Related experience in financial services, banking, credit analysis, or loan review.
•Experience as a Credit Analyst I or equivalent role preferred.
•Familiarity with financial instruments and processes used to analyze financial data.
•Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel, and use of Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
