Join the Recommendation Architecture team to build and optimize recommendation system architecture that powers TikTok’s most stable and high-availability experiences. You’ll develop strategy optimization and offline evaluation, adaptive tuning and fault diagnosis using large models, and cost-aware generative recommendation workflows. Work across cross-domain data processing, low-cost high-performance storage, multimodal heterogeneous computing, and Python-centered developer tooling.

Key Responsibilities

•Build intelligent systems for standardized recommendation strategy definitions, long-term/offline evaluation, and automated identification/retirement of ineffective strategies.
•Optimize system parameters and configurations for diverse recommendation loads using large-model capabilities, including adaptive fault diagnosis.
•Balance model training and operation costs with efficiency to achieve effective recommendations within limited resources.
•Process massive heterogeneous cross-domain data (e.g., e-commerce), improve data quality/accuracy, and support low-cost cross-terminal services while ensuring privacy, security, and compliance.
•Develop low-cost high-performance storage engines, schema evolution mechanisms, and data-model correlation analysis with training data processing pipelines based on DCAI.

Key Requirements

•Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, engineering, or a quantitative field.
•Strong research results and practical experience in areas such as NLP, computer vision, data modeling, or algorithm optimization.
•Excellent programming skills with strong command of data structures and fundamental algorithms.
•For traditional coding roles, proficiency in C/C++; for intelligent coding roles, proficiency in Python.
•Ability to communicate and collaborate with algorithm engineers, data analysts, and product managers to explore new technologies.
