Job Summary

Build and optimize ByteDance’s cloud-native infrastructure by working on large-scale Kubernetes clusters. You’ll design and evolve system architectures for ultra-large-scale Kubernetes, improve control system performance and stability for big data/ML scenarios, define and optimize Kubernetes SLOs, and develop observability (including data warehousing) to speed up issue diagnosis and enhance cluster performance. Key Responsibilities

•Build and optimize large-scale Kubernetes clusters.
•Design and evolve system architectures for ultra-large-scale Kubernetes clusters.
•Continuously improve performance and stability of control systems in big data and machine learning scenarios.
•Define and enhance Kubernetes SLOs and analyze end-to-end latency to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions in production.
•Develop observability for Kubernetes clusters by building observability systems and creating observability data warehouses to optimize cluster performance.

Key Requirements

•Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
•Experience developing or contributing to cloud-native open-source projects.

•Familiarity with observability tools and frameworks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or distributed tracing systems.
•Knowledge of big data or machine learning workflows in a Kubernetes environment.
