Build and evolve a standardized data access layer for the Multi-Product Platform, serving as Abnormal’s single source of truth across products. Design and implement APIs and services, drive adoption of API-gated data sources, and enforce data ownership, tenant isolation, authentication, and fine-grained access control. Own reliability and stability, contribute to architectural decisions, write technical design docs, and participate in code reviews and on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, build, and iterate on the APIs and services that make up the standardized data access layer.
•Drive adoption of API-gated data sources so product teams can reuse data instead of building one-off integrations.
•Implement standard labeling for data ownership and validation logic for incoming requests.
•Own the reliability and stability of the components and features you build.
•Contribute to architectural decisions, write technical design documents, and participate in code/design reviews and on-call rotation.

Key Requirements

•4+ years of industry experience with strong software engineering fundamentals.
•Write production code in Python and/or Golang and work with SQL and NoSQL databases.
•Experience with system design and building reliable, scalable applications with operational excellence.
•Detail-driven approach to code quality, testing, performance, and handling edge cases and errors.
•Ability to own complex, multi-component features end-to-end and influence across teams.
