Job Summary

Develop production-quality FPGA designs for weapon-system related embedded processing, partnering with systems, hardware, and software teams from proof of concept through production release. Code and verify using VHDL, directed and constrained-random tests with coverage tracking, and create full documentation and configuration management. Support integration and technical reviews, independently drive schedules and deliverables for FPGA solutions across major vendor families.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and deliver production-quality FPGA releases from initial proof of concept through production.
•Code in VHDL and ensure designs are reliable, maintainable, reviewable, and reusable.
•Verify designs using directed and constrained-random self-checking techniques while tracking functional and code coverage.
•Create documentation (requirements, verification plan, user’s guides) and support configuration management for releases.
•Collaborate with systems, hardware, software, and program management; independently drive projects through integration, test, and technical reviews.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (or related) and at least 5 years of prior relevant experience.
•Minimum 5 years of FPGA digital design and HDL coding targeting configurable logic devices.
•Experience delivering FPGA solutions to system-level applications and working with FPGA device/tool ecosystems.
•Hands-on integration and debug of electronics using instruments such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
•Experience with FPGA timing constraints and timing closure, plus digital simulation tools such as Questa or RivieraPro.
