  • •Guide and lead the architecture, delivery, and development of front-end software systems that power Qantas business units.
  • •Dive into code to deliver high-quality, well-designed software while sharing responsibility for software quality and outcomes.
  • •Meet reliability and performance expectations and safely manage security and data privacy concerns.
  • •Develop and share reusable components using design systems across repositories.
  • •Use cloud services, CI/CD, observability/monitoring, and containerisation to support scalable, production-ready delivery.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years in a hands-on software engineering role.
  • •Experience building high-traffic, customer-facing web applications.
  • •Strong front-end experience including JavaScript and React JS, plus SSR, Micro Front Ends, HTML, CSS, and CSS Modules.
  • •Experience with CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions), version control (Git), and automated testing practices.
  • •Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS such as EC2, S3, Lambda) and containerisation concepts (Docker, Kubernetes).
