Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and execute the global Software Asset Management strategy and roadmap aligned to business priorities, technology objectives, and enterprise risk.
  • •Provide governance over the software estate post-contract execution, ensuring licences, entitlements, and consumption are effectively managed throughout the lifecycle.
  • •Support or lead supplier strategy and engagement to maximise value from strategic software investments, including major negotiations, renewals, and expenditure forecasts.
  • •Establish best-practice software asset management disciplines for licence compliance, entitlement management, usage optimisation, audit preparedness, and lifecycle governance.
  • •Lead and develop a globally distributed team (~22 professionals) and drive automation, data quality, and reporting improvements for compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience leading Software Asset Management, software category management, or technology commercial management in a large, complex organisation.
  • •Demonstrated experience leading software licensing/functions, including SaaS, cloud, subscription-based, consumption-based and perpetual licensing models.
  • •Proven ability to manage commercial, contractual, and compliance obligations across major enterprise software vendors and complex licensing arrangements.
  • •Experience leading software audit readiness, licence optimisation and compliance programmes.
  • •Strong commercial acumen with contract negotiation, supplier management, and data-driven decision-making with senior stakeholders.
