Key Responsibilities

  • •Own SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 programs (and future frameworks), including scope, evidence, control operations, and external auditor relationships.
  • •Build and maintain audit-ready control evidence in the compliance automation platform, moving controls from partially substantiated to audit-ready.
  • •Lead security diligence for enterprise and regulated customers, including security questionnaires, audit responses, right-to-audit requests, and recurring reporting.
  • •Own and mature the risk register and risk management into a recorded, enterprise-aligned program.
  • •Coordinate compliance obligations from customer contracts (data protection, breach-notification timelines, vendor/subprocessor assessments) in partnership with legal; assess and stand up new certifications as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years in governance, risk, and compliance, ideally in a high-growth startup environment.
  • •Demonstrated ownership of SOC 2 and ISO 27001 programs, including running audits end to end with external auditors.
  • •Experience fronting security diligence for enterprise or regulated customers, including working directly with auditors or security reviewers.
  • •Fluency with compliance automation platforms (such as Vanta or equivalent) and producing audit-ready evidence beyond dashboards.
  • •Strong understanding of security controls in a cloud and SaaS environment and the ability to coordinate across functions independently.
