Job Summary

Join the EIT (Engineer in Training) program to provide engineering support that improves the reliability, availability, efficiency, and functionality of plant equipment, processes, and projects. You’ll interface with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams, rotate through key areas of the plant (including safety, operations, maintenance, instrumentation & control, reliability, and chemical/environmental), and work on assigned engineering projects while following safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide engineering support to improve reliability, availability, efficiency, and functionality of equipment, processes, and projects.
•Interface with engineering staff, operations & maintenance groups, and other Vistra personnel to deliver practical engineering solutions.
•Participate in the EIT program with rotations across plant areas including safety, operations, maintenance, instrumentation & control, reliability, and chemical/environmental.
•Work on assigned engineering projects.
•Comply with safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Key Requirements

•Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (OPT/CPT students are not eligible).
•Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year institution pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree.
•Must be pursuing an engineering discipline such as Nuclear, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Computer, Chemical, Environmental, or Energy Engineering.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Access desired.
•Proficient in AutoCAD (or similar systems) and have excellent verbal and written communication skills; official transcripts required prior to start date.
