Job Summary

Own end-to-end testing for an Informatica-to-dbt migration, defining validation strategy across Extract/Load/Transform layers. Validate Python-based data ingestion (row counts, schema alignment, completeness, and type consistency) and ensure dbt transformations are functionally equivalent via reconciliation, business-rule checks, and incremental/full-load validation. Lead test execution and defect triage across migration waves, coordinate with SMEs/Technical Leads, and support SIT/UAT and production release readiness.

Key Responsibilities

•Define the overall test strategy, test approach, and validation framework for EL and dbt transform components.
•Establish testing standards, reusable test cases, and automation patterns where applicable.
•Validate Python-based extract/load processes for row counts, schema alignment, data completeness, and data type consistency.
•Oversee dbt transformation validation, including pre- vs post-migration reconciliation, business rule/aggregation validation, and incremental/full-load behavior.
•Coordinate testing across migration waves and business units, partner with Informatica SMEs, support SIT/UAT, and drive defect triage and release readiness reporting.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of data testing experience in large-scale data migration or ETL programs.
•Strong SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server, or similar RDBMS).
•Experience validating ETL/ELT pipelines and transformations.
•Familiarity with dbt testing concepts (schema tests, data tests).
•Experience testing Python-based data pipelines and using reconciliation/data validation frameworks.
