Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Patch cabling between network equipment and the customer’s network.
  • •Install power cables from equipment to power supply in rack/cabinet/closet.
  • •Install, troubleshoot, and de-install network equipment (devices, edge routers, switches, etc.).
  • •Perform MAC requests within service levels and act as liaison between customer and management.
  • •Provide hardware break-fix services for network infrastructure and conduct onsite testing across data, voice, website, and security.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 5 years of experience in data communications.
  • •Proficient with Sniffers, BERT testers, cable testers, and fiber testers.
  • •Experience working in communications closets and performing rack-and-stack activities.
  • •Familiar with patching processes and 66/110 block cross-connect procedures; basic networking knowledge.
  • •Must be able to program Cisco and Avaya IP phones; able to troubleshoot and deodorize phone issues.
