Job Summary

Provide and coordinate patient care in a Labour & Delivery setting, assessing and re-assessing patient needs, analyzing clinical data, and implementing and monitoring care plans. Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to record and escalate abnormal vital signs, educate patients and families, and support safe admission, transfer, and discharge. Perform diagnostic and life-support responsibilities within scope (including BLS/PALS/ACLS/Neonatal Resuscitation), administer medications and treatments, and manage wound care.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide and coordinate patient care, including educating patients and the public about health conditions and offering advice and emotional support to patients and families.
•Assess and identify patient needs, implement and monitor the medical plan, and perform systematic patient assessment and re-assessment.
•Create and evaluate care plans with the interprofessional team in collaboration with patients and their bystanders.
•Record vital signs, recognize/address/escalate abnormalities, and maintain and update clinical skills related to nursing practice.
•Perform life support and clinical tasks within scope, including administering medications and treatments, providing wound care, assisting in procedures, and supporting safe admission, transfer, and discharge.

Key Requirements

•Hold a valid license to work as a registered nurse in the relevant regulatory health authority, with required qualifications and experience.
•Manage professional re-licensure.
•Hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
•Be willing to work across departments when necessary.
•Communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written).
