Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan, supervise, and review geotechnical site investigations, including boreholes, geophysical surveys, in-situ testing, and laboratory testing.
  • •Perform geotechnical analysis and design for dam/barrage foundations, intake/outlet structures, headrace/tailrace tunnels, surge/pressure shafts, underground powerhouses, penstock foundations, switchyards, and pumped storage reservoirs.
  • •Assess foundation performance (bearing capacity, settlement, seepage) and evaluate slope stability.
  • •Design excavation support, rock bolting, shotcrete, retaining structures, grouting, drainage, and ground improvement measures.
  • •Prepare and review geotechnical design reports/calculations/specifications/tender documents, coordinate with engineering teams, and provide construction/commissioning technical support.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience for hydropower and pumped storage projects.
  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • •Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering/rock mechanics/engineering geology (preferred).
  • •Proficiency with geotechnical analysis software such as PLAXIS, FLAC/FLAC3D, Rocscience Suite (RS2, RS3, Slide2), GeoStudio, or MIDAS GTS NX.
