Job Summary

Design and deliver backend services, APIs, and platform components for Visa’s Intelligent Commerce ecosystem. Build cloud-native, microservices-based capabilities that power merchant integrations and intelligent commerce experiences. Partner with engineers, product managers, and architects to translate business requirements into scalable implementations, improve reliability and observability, support CI/CD, and perform code reviews. Mentor junior engineers while leveraging AI-assisted development tools to raise engineering efficiency and quality.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or at least 2 years with an advanced degree, or 0 years with a PhD, or 8+ years of relevant experience.
•8+ years building scalable distributed systems.
•Strong proficiency in Java and/or Python.
•Experience with microservices, REST APIs, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD.
•Ability to design and support production systems; experience with AI-enabled systems or large-scale commerce experiences is preferred.
