Key Responsibilities

•Develops and maintains procedural rig components with a focus on deformation, using custom tools
•Builds body, facial and mechanical rig systems to be used by other departments such as Crowds, Layout, and Animation
•Troubleshoots and fixes rig issues; collects feedback and fine-tunes rig behavior
•Delivers on time following Production quality standards and helps maintain rigging standards across pipelines
•Prototype, develop, and implement new techniques to solve unique character production challenges

Key Requirements

•5+ years in VFX or animation industries; 3+ years in the animation industry
•Strong artistic and technical rigging skills
•Proficiency within a character pipeline; proficient in using Maya in a production environment
•Experience with sculpting tools in Body, Face and Shot-Finaling; extensive anatomical knowledge of facial muscles and their kinematics
•Advanced Python scripting with coding standards (Qt Interfaces and UX); knowledge of C/C++ is desirable
