Job Summary

Deliver exceptional customer service in the Chilled Food department while maintaining food quality, freshness, availability, and presentation. Replenish chilled products, maintain clean and well-stocked displays aligned with M&S standards, monitor expiry dates and shelf life, and follow FIFO to reduce waste. Handle customer enquiries and basic complaints, support POS operations when required, and ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and cold-chain regulations.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver friendly, professional customer service and greet/assist customers.
•Provide accurate product information (ingredients, allergens, storage advice, promotions) and handle basic complaints by escalating when needed.
•Maintain chilled section operations: replenish stock, keep displays clean and well-organized, and monitor freshness, expiry dates, and shelf life.
•Apply FIFO and stock rotation, remove damaged/expired/poor-quality products, and support inventory management and shrinkage control.
•Follow food safety and cold-chain compliance (including HACCP and temperature checks) and support checkout operations using the POS system when required.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent (Food or Hospitality qualification is an advantage).
•1–3 years of experience in Food Retail, Supermarket, Fresh Food, Grocery, or Hospitality.
•Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, HACCP, cold chain management, and Municipality regulations.
•Experience in stock replenishment, inventory control, and merchandising.
•Good verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage) and ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
