Senior Accountant to manage APAC monthly closing, support end-to-end accounting and indirect tax in APAC, prepare financial reports, and liaise with auditors, driving continuous improvements in accounting and compliance within the Penang-based Finance Operations Center.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage monthly APAC closing activities and prepare related journal entries and reconciliations.
•Be the first point of contact for supporting end-to-end accounting and indirect tax activities within APAC countries.
•Prepare monthly financial reports for stakeholders and analyze business performance regularly.
•Liaise with internal/external auditors and external consultants for audits and compliance processes.
•Provide financial information and reports for regional operational and business reviews on a quarterly basis.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with more than 5 years of experience, preferably in a Big 4 accounting firm.
•Desire to transform accounting activities and drive continuous process improvements.
•Self-starter who can work independently and interface with internal teams and external partners, mainly in India.
•Flexible to work on India time zone when required.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
