Originate residential first mortgage loans for outside referrals, managing the full loan lifecycle from application through closing. Build and maintain referral relationships, apply mortgage processing and underwriting guidelines, and collect documentation to assemble complete loan packages. Use tools such as Fannie Mae Form 1003, daily rate access, credit reports, Loan Prospector, and transmit loans to LOMAS while monitoring the pipeline and providing timely status updates and reports.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop referral contacts (realtors, builders, and professional/personal contacts) and support mortgage loan sales and cross-selling goals.
•Maintain knowledge of mortgage company policies/procedures and available loan products, processing, underwriting, and departmental guidelines.
•Complete applicant applications using Fannie Mae Form 1003 and use the laptop to access daily rates, pull credit reports, respond via Loan Prospector, and transmit loans to LOMAS.
•Collect required documentation, deliver loan packages within management time frames, and manage the loan pipeline through closing.
•Provide timely updates and progress reports to branches and applicants and attend required Consumer Lending meetings.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent; four-year college degree preferred.
•Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
•Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
•Demonstrated organizational skills and strong written and verbal communication; S.A.F.E. Act registration through NMLS required at time of employment.
