Key Responsibilities

  • •Review operational, financial, and administrative processes to assess risk, internal control, and process effectiveness/efficiency.
  • •Understand clients’ business objectives, strategy, operations, processes, IT systems, service providers, and controls.
  • •Participate in client engagements from start to completion, including internal audit, internal control assessments, enterprise risk management program assessments, and tests of control design and operating effectiveness for SOX and other compliance requirements.
  • •Support engagement Manager and/or Senior Manager/Director with project management activities including plans, timelines, budgets, and status reporting.
  • •Develop and execute internal audit workplans and control test procedures; evaluate findings using risk/control trends and develop recommendations; supervise and mentor associates and interns.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS, Business Intelligence, or related field.
  • •Minimum 2 years of related work experience with a professional services firm or within a Risk Management or Internal Audit function.
  • •CIA, CPA, Six Sigma, or related license/certification preferred; Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 experience preferred.
  • •Experience assessing design and operating effectiveness of enterprise/operational risk management programs and/or entity-level and business process controls (e.g., Internal Audit, SOX compliance, SOC reporting).
  • •Strong understanding of COSO Internal Control – Integrated Framework (2013) and/or the Institute of Internal Auditors International Professional Practices Framework (IIA IPPF).
