Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver: Develop and check process flow diagrams, mass balance calculations, PID’s, process control, operating philosophy, control philosophy, FDS documents and the principles therein. Undertake survey and assessments of existing process/equipment; site visits as required.
  • •Quality: Produce and review client deliverables, make key technical decisions and identify when specialist input from the greater team is required; ensure documents meet design standards and legislation.
  • •Collaborate: Work with clients and AECOM counterparts to ensure stakeholder buy-in to solutions and contribute to technical capability.
  • •Mentor: Delegate tasks, oversee work of others and act as a technical mentor to junior staff.
  • •Lead: Represent AECOM in technical meetings with clients and coordinate with engineers from other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering.
  • •Chartered Engineer status with IChemE or CIWEM.
  • •Extensive experience in water treatment, managing the technical delivery of large-scale engineering projects; water treatment process design and optimisation using appropriate Water Company standards and specifications.
  • •Extensive experience of leading Feasibility, Optioneering Studies and Detailed Design for water treatment processes.
  • •Ability as a mentor, checker and verifier.
