Key Responsibilities

•Represent commercial insureds in General Liability matters from investigation through trial, handling all phases of insurance defense litigation.
•Perform legal analysis, prepare pleadings, manage discovery, hearings, trials, settlement strategy, and post-trial activities.
•Mentor and collaborate with staff counsel, supporting broader team objectives and ethical standards.
•Manage caseloads, budgets, exposure analysis, and diary review with independent accountability.
•Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams to achieve favorable outcomes.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 150,000 - 180,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Juris Doctor and 7 or more years of litigation experience. Must be actively licensed to practice in Texas (Texas State Bar in good standing).
•Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe, Lexis, or Westlaw.
•Knowledge of insurance defense litigation, claims, and the insurance industry.
•Strong case analysis, negotiation, settlement, and trial skills with the ability to work independently and mentor others.
•Ability to manage caseloads, budgets, exposure analysis, billables, and diary review independently.
