Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement an environmental management system to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • •Supervise the wastewater supervisor and wastewater operators and develop and implement environmental programs.
  • •Write compliance plans, track compliance KPIs, and develop and submit permit applications.
  • •Ensure on-time reporting for required compliance-based reports and communicate any non-compliant issues.
  • •Lead location management to maintain regulator relationships and support spill response under the Area Environmental Manager direction.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in natural science, environmental science, or engineering (preferred).
  • •4+ years environmental experience OR 2+ years environmental experience with successful completion of the Tyson Foods Environmental Trainee program.
  • •Food production industry experience is a plus.
  • •Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and able to use compliance databases such as eCAT and Incident Tracker.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication; strong leadership, interpersonal, and project management skills; bilingual skills are a plus.
