•Supervise the wastewater supervisor and wastewater operators, and lead creation and implementation of environmental programs.
•Write compliance plans, track compliance KPIs, and develop and submit permit applications.
•Implement waste minimization programs and ensure on-time reporting of required compliance-based reports, communicating any non-compliant issues.
•Maintain relationships with local state and federal regulators and lead spill response, under the direction of the Area Environmental Manager.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in natural science, environmental science, or engineering (preferred).
•4+ years environmental experience, or 2+ years environmental experience plus successful completion of the Tyson Foods Environmental Trainee program; food production industry experience is a plus.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and able to use compliance databases such as eCAT and Incident Tracker.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of team members; bilingual skills are a plus.
•Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive concurrent projects to completion and apply project management concepts and techniques.
