Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and develop material handling systems (conveyors, cranes, hoists, automated storage, bulk material systems).
  • •Translate operational requirements into engineered solutions, layouts, and technical specifications.
  • •Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate material handling solutions into broader facility designs.
  • •Support project delivery through calculations, drawings, cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • •Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related).
  • •15+ years of experience in design and engineering of material handling systems for mining/heavy industrial projects.

  • •Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility in Canada.
  • •Proven ability to solve real-world engineering challenges, with field/onsite safety adherence and proficiency in mechanical design tools.
