Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a bridge (rail/road) or structures lead engineer on mid-size projects supported by EC.
  • •Make day-to-day technical decisions for a team and integrate resources from EC offices across regions.
  • •Provide technical expertise for studies and design efforts, including medium-complex value engineering and alternative design/material/construction evaluations.
  • •Develop project execution plans and delivery strategy, including defining design teams and categorizing work packages.
  • •Conduct quality control reviews, approve/sign off on work, and train, mentor, and evaluate less experienced staff.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven track record working on bridges and/or structures design, collaborating with international and multi-cultural teams (+8 years).
  • •Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
  • •Professional fluency in English (oral and written); Spanish fluency is a plus.
  • •Experience with international regulations and standards (e.g., AASHTO, AREMA, Aus-Codes, BS).
  • •Proficiency in engineering calculation software for bridge and structures (preferably Midas Civil; others like CSi Bridge considered), with commitment to quality control and quality management systems.
