Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, implement, and oversee safety strategy, frameworks, policies, and/or procedures for QLD/NT business areas.
  • •Work with business units to minimize or eliminate injuries and damage to persons, equipment, infrastructure, or the environment where practicable.
  • •Ensure regulatory compliance and support delivery of a proactive safety culture.
  • •Improve identification, mitigation against, and resolution of relevant hazards.
  • •Provide safety advisory support within the regional safety advisory team in an advisory capacity.

Key Requirements

  • •A tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.
  • •Experience in an HSE position with a record of delivering improvement.
  • •Ability to develop and implement safety strategies within a large operational business.
  • •Sound understanding of WHS legislation and Human Factors principles.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to liaise with staff, management, and regulators at all levels.
