Job Summary

Account Manager in SMBC Group’s Specialized Products Department – Large Cap Leveraged Finance Portfolio Management in Frankfurt. You will pro-actively manage a European Large Cap leveraged finance portfolio, perform credit/risk analysis, report to stakeholders, and collaborate with sponsor coverage and origination to drive new business opportunities while cross-selling ancillary products.

Key Responsibilities

•Proactively manage a portfolio of European Large Cap Leveraged Loans with direct and indirect exposures, including ongoing analysis of borrowers’ financial performance and preparation of monitoring reports.
•Develop and maintain relationships with company management to drive new business opportunities from the portfolio and cross-sell ancillary products (FX, derivatives, trade finance, deposits).
•Coordinate with Sponsor Coverage and Origination teams to generate opportunities from the existing portfolio and participate in SPD Leveraged Finance deal teams.
•Conduct in-depth financial/credit analysis of transactions and prepare credit submissions for new transactions, amendments, waivers, and refinancings.
•Liaise with back/middle office teams to ensure proper booking and operational execution while complying with regulatory and internal policies.
