Job Summary

Own the characterization, testing, and validation of electric motors and robotic actuators for a home humanoid robot. Build and maintain scalable test infrastructure to generate reliable performance data across operating conditions, identify reliability risks and failure modes early, and provide actionable insights. Partner across hardware, controls, firmware, and systems teams to close the loop from design and implementation to real-world product performance, supporting regression testing and successful releases.

Key Responsibilities

•Own characterization, testing, and validation for electric motors and robotic actuators powering movement.
•Deliver accurate, repeatable actuator and motor performance characterization across operating conditions and use cases.
•Build and maintain scalable test infrastructure supporting validation across development and production cycles.
•Identify performance limitations, reliability risks, and failure modes early to influence design decisions and reduce program risk.
•Provide high-quality test data and actionable insights, supporting regression testing and product releases through cross-functional collaboration.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field with 5 years of experience.
•Experience testing electromechanical systems, actuators, motors, or power electronics.
•Strong hands-on experience with laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and hardware debugging.
•Experience analyzing test data and communicating results to engineering stakeholders.
•Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
