Key Responsibilities

  • •Diagnose and treat patients in Otolaryngology according to established best practice, providing high-quality evidence-based care.
  • •Lead ward rounds and reassess inpatients and outpatients, reviewing investigation results and modifying treatment as required.
  • •Oversee and assume responsibility for the care provided by junior medical staff; ensure accurate clinical documentation.
  • •Ensure proper preparation of patients for procedures, including obtaining informed consent, and coordinate with other specialties and support services.
  • •Lead departmental quality improvement, audits, audit-result-driven practice improvements, incident reporting and response, and contribute to research/publications and CME.

Key Requirements

  • •Tier 1: 2+ years relevant experience as a consultant (or equivalent) and board certification.
  • •Tier 2: 8+ years full-time consultant experience (including fellowship training) in an internationally accredited institute, with board certification.
  • •Comply with established hospital policies for admissions, consultations, daily patient care, surgical procedures, discharge protocols, and outpatient follow-up.
  • •Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and training for junior medical staff.
  • •Fellowship training (for UAE Nationals) may substitute for experience under specified countries/fellowship programs.
