Key Responsibilities

•Set the technical architecture and roadmap for complex analytics engineering initiatives, including semantic-layer design and source-of-truth consolidation.
•Architect the semantic layer and metrics standards so KPIs are defined once and consumed consistently across dashboards, models, AI agents, and downstream products.
•Lead AI-ready data platform design, including modeling, metadata, and governance decisions for trusted Snowflake Intelligence and agent capabilities.
•Drive dbt technical excellence across model architecture, incremental/materialization strategies, performance tuning, macros, testing, and CI/CD practices.
•Mentor senior and analytics engineers through code review and design feedback; partner with leaders across Data Science, Data Engineering, BI, and Product to deliver on critical-path work.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 160,000 - 185,000 annually

Key Requirements

•6+ years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or Business Intelligence, leading complex cross-cutting initiatives.
•4+ years of hands-on production experience with dbt, including incremental strategies, macros, custom tests, and CI/CD design.
•3+ years with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake strongly preferred), including performance tuning and cost optimization.
•Expert-level SQL proficiency and dimensional data modeling, with durable, well-tested models serving as organizational foundations.
•Demonstrated experience designing and operating a semantic or metrics layer as an organizational source of truth; ability to mentor and influence across cross-functional teams.
