Job Summary

Build and ramp production for composite and metallic solid rocket motor cases and nozzles by working hands-on with technicians and design release. Create tooling, MBOMs, work instructions, quality plans, inspection requirements, and related documentation, and serve as the conduit between engineering data packages and the shop floor. Optimize work cells, develop processes to reduce risk from prototype/LRIP to FRP, solve schedule-driven manufacturing issues, and partner with program and quality teams to support on-time delivery and recurring issue elimination.

Key Responsibilities

•Work hands-on with technicians and engineers to build and insulate metallic and composite solid rocket motor cases and tooling with design engineering release.
•Work hands-on with technicians and engineers to build composite nozzles and tooling with design engineering release.
•Design tooling for press molded parts and create manufacturing documentation (work instructions, process specifications, MBOMs, quality plans, inspection requirements, and non-conformances).
•Serve as a conduit between engineering technical data packages and technicians to ensure hardware and tooling are manufactured as designed/analyzed.
•Solve manufacturing problems in a schedule-driven environment, develop processes to reduce risk from prototype/LRIP into FRP, and optimize work cells to meet quality and efficiency targets.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 89,000 - 120,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technology related field.
•3+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing solid rocket motor cases and/or nozzles.
•Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including GD&T.
•Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (NX preferred).
•Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.
