Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and drive the global data protection strategy, building a scalable privacy framework aligned with corporate objectives.
  • •Lead the response to data breaches and privacy incidents, coordinating with business functions and regulators and reporting to the Board and executive leadership.
  • •Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies, standards, and procedures across the Group, including privacy governance and records of processing.
  • •Serve as primary point of contact for data protection authorities, regulators, and data subjects across relevant jurisdictions, including escalation for privacy complaints.
  • •Oversee responsible AI oversight, including advising on compliance with AI regulation (e.g., EU AI Act) and integrating responsible AI principles into AI development and deployment processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in law, information technology, business, or a related discipline.
  • •7-10 years’ experience in data protection or privacy roles, including senior-level experience leading privacy programmes across multiple jurisdictions.
  • •Proven track record managing data breach response and engaging with regulators.
  • •Experience supporting M&A transactions, including privacy due diligence and post-acquisition compliance integration.
  • •Expert knowledge of global data protection legislation (UAE, EU, and US) and AI governance implications (including the EU AI Act).
