Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop vertical transportation design concepts, including calculating lift quantity, size, and speed for all building types (including high-rise).
  • •Undertake lift traffic analysis, ideally using Elevate®.
  • •Produce reports including conceptual design and scheme design, and prepare reports at key RIBA design stages.
  • •Oversee production of drawings and specifications for vertical transportation projects.
  • •Provide VT engineering expertise on single and multi-disciplinary projects, coordinating with other engineering disciplines and supporting site inspections/witness testing and site surveys.

Key Requirements

  • •Ideally NVQ4, HNC or equivalent Lift or appropriate engineering qualification.
  • •Extensive vertical transportation experience, preferably from a lift contracting or consulting background.
  • •Strong analytical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles.
  • •Ability to work constructively in a team and find holistic building design solutions in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • •Advanced experience using design software including passenger traffic analysis (ELEVATE), CADD, BIM, Revit, and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
