Job Summary

Lead the delivery of Databricks’ most complex customer engagements in the Forward Deployed Engineering team. Provide technical leadership and guidance to implementation teams, help shape architectural decisions, and proactively manage technical risks and dependencies. Own program outcomes across scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resources, serving as a key escalation point to ensure customer satisfaction and successful, low-rework deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership and guidance to the implementation team to ensure successful delivery of complex customer engagements.
•Guide technical teams through key architectural decisions and help navigate trade-offs between established and innovative approaches.
•Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies that may impact project timelines and goals.
•Produce high-quality deliverables, status reports, program plans, and customer responses with minimal rework.
•Manage program scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resources with a focus on technical complexity, serving as an escalation point for technical delivery issues.

Key Requirements

•Proven ability to stay current on technology trends and make sound technical decisions without being a hands-on coder.
•Experience managing large, complex engagements and mitigating unexpected technical challenges, including trade-offs between scope, budget, and timeline.
•Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to influence technical teams and tailor messaging to different audiences.
•Preferred experience with BI, data management, and big data technologies.
•Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple engagements while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
