Job Summary

Entry-level civil/port engineering role supporting design, construction, and inspection of marine structures such as piers, wharves, seawalls, and coastal terminals. You’ll collect and analyze site data, assist with design requirements, identify risks, prepare technical reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on federally and locally funded projects in a Seattle-based office.

Key Responsibilities

•With minimal supervision, assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the physical work site, survey data, technical reports and drawings, and other data matrices for project development, design, and construction.
•Assist with the development of project design requirements, while incorporating marine-practice engineering standards and specifications.
•Assist with identification of project site, design and construction related risks and providing input on mitigation activities.
•Write technical reports, generating complete and concise documentation of findings, using sketches, calculations, excel spreadsheets, technical drawings, and other engineering software.
•Prepare presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external team members as well as clients.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited program.
•0 to 1 years of experience; Prior engineering internship experiences
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others
•Capable self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment
•Experience with AutoCAD and SAP2000 and similar tools
